Tonight (Jan. 04) was Eaglet graduation for my daughter. Her school had thus far been comprised of a group of K-3rd and a group of 4th-7th graders. The K-3rd graders had been "Eaglets", learning how the school's program/mission functions and learning how to become Eagles (like the 4th-7th grade group). In Dec, the director and guides felt that the 1st-3rd grade Eaglets were ready to be given a little more freedom and take on the role of Eagles. Tonight those 17 Eaglets were recognized and each presented with a trophy with a plaque that read "Find your calling & change the world!" As a little extra congratulations, I made some bookmarks for the kids.
After getting home and putting little one to bed, I headed to craft some more. It turned into a night of boxes, starting with these triangle Valentine bag/box
...and then started on my "Impossible" boxes for my piano students (I will eventually make 26 of them!) which will be filled with little treasures as my piano students accomplish their assigned pieces
March 01/02 - A thank-you order (it's a surprise, so details will be posted next week!)
March 03 - A cake for the Relief Society birthday party (a half sheet, plus 10" round)
March 05 - Birthday cake for Janet!
That's it for now... Anybody want to place an order (or 2, or 3, or...) for St. Patty's Day? How about Easter (April 24)... :-)
Thanks for looking and reading!
For those of you who like more details and more "buzz" than just the photos on the website, here's the place! I will try to update this at least once a week with new projects, announcements, etc. that are happening.
I have been busy the last two weeks with Valentine's Day orders. Here are the things I've worked on: Chocolate Covered Oreos for the Sandpipers-LGA Scramble (Picacho Hills Country Club), a Valentine's Treat box filled with 4 Chocolate Covered Oreos and a dozen filled candies (6 - dark chocolate with strawberry filling, 6 - white chocolate with raspberry filling), a Valentine's Cake, another Oreo order and a Cake for the Community Theater. Then, after Valentine's Day, I had 2 more orders. One for 15 half-dozen chocolate dipped strawberries (I forgot to take pictures!!!) and then an order for a bridal shower that consisted of Oreos and cupcakes. Below are some of the photos (mostly in order). This week - no orders. I can take it easy for a little while, and focus on making more cards.
HOWEVER, I did get a few items posted on my etsy site, and found out this morning that my Chocolate covered Oreos (Easter themed) were added to a treasury! Click here to see the treasury. What a nice surprise! :-)
